Pastor's Weekly Musing

Hey everyone!

We launched another Rooted session this past Tuesday, and what a night it was! Over 60 people showed up to engage in community discipleship, Pastor Portia dropped some truth bombs from the front, groups engaged in life-giving conversation, and a good time was had by all!

Our Meadows Life Groups are getting ready to re-launch in September as well! SO MANY good things happening at Meadows!

The Men's Ministry helped clean up the property this past Saturday, and it looks brand new! Many thanks to all the gents that came to help out.

THIS Sunday, August 27, Scott and January Wilson will be in town and Scott will be bringing the Word! He and January are up to some awesome things in Mexico and beyond, and Scott will bring an encouragement for us all.

ALSO, the following Wednesday night (August 30 at 6:30 PM), the Wilson's will be hosting a Taco Dinner Fund-Raiser Event here at the church! Come get a free taco plate courtesy of the Wilson's, and then stick around to hear more about what they're doing with Foursquare Mexico and how you can partner with them to fulfill God's call on their lives to impact the world with the Gospel.

Portia and I are heading to California this weekend to drop our daughter off at college. She'll be attending Vanguard University this fall, a small Christian college in Costa Mesa, and they'll be holding a chapel prayer service on Sunday morning for the parents and students. We'll be with you all in spirit!
