Pastor's Weekly Musing
Hey everyone!
What a Sunday we had this past week. First, it was so awesome seeing all the notebooks and Bibles -- oh, the Bibles! Second, the worship was so strong that it actually took me a while to regroup before I preached. Third, the unity in response to the message and our direction was so overwhelming, it had the feel of being on the precipice of something huge. What a day.
Let's do it again this week! Bring your journals/Bibles!

This Sunday, we'll continue the series, This is Us.
We laid out a template for what cultural challenges we want to face head-on, and right off the bat, the first one we're going to talk about is individualism.
We've been formed by a culture that glamorizes autonomy and hyper-individualized living, which presents a huge challenge for the church, which is built on family, brothers, and sisters who are called to love each other well. How do we do this well?
Well you're in luck. The legendary Pastor Portia will be bringing the Word this Sunday, preaching on us intentionally counter-forming our souls in response to this individualism, and moving us toward Christ-likeness.
Join us this Sunday for Part 2 - Our Community.
Looking forward to seeing you all on the walkway!
