Pastor's Weekly Musing

Hey Everyone!

I have asked Scott & January Wilson to share in the musing this week, so please enjoy this Mexico update from them!

Greetings from Mexico,
At the end of last year, January and I found ourselves in a place where God was bringing us back to the basics regarding our relationship with Him and we felt that He was preparing us for a new season of ministry. Boy, were we right. This year has seen us move into some new areas and an adjustment to our primary role here in Mexico. To begin with, our assignment here in Mexico is going through an update. We are officially the new National Missions Coordinators for the Foursquare Church in Mexico. There are still some details to work out, but the basic responsibilities are as follows:

We are NOT supervising the other workers from FMI here in Mexico.
  • Our primary responsibility will remain as the point of contact for short-term church teams coming from the U.S> to the Tijuana/Rosarito area.
  • We will be working with the National leadership of the Foursquare Church in Mexico to help facilitate the vision God has given them for Mexico.
  • I will be helping to collect, organize, and modify training material to be used in preparation of sending out church planters and missionaries.
  • Using other roles that I have, I will be assisting with connecting Foursquare Mexico with Foursquare Missions International., Regional Leaders, as well as International Missions Directors.
  • Finally, I will be providing any other administrative support that Foursquare Mexico requests, including logistics, communications, and planning.

This is not an all-inclusive list, as some of the details are still yet to be finalized. For me, the prospect of what God has planned for the future of Mexico is exciting and the fact that He has blessed us with the opportunity to be a part of it is overwhelming. In addition, I have also joined the administrative support team for the Global Council of the International Foursquare Church. Because the current Administrator is retiring this month, the position is being evaluated and my role with be further defined in the coming months. I am very excited to see how I will be able to assist the Global Foursquare Family in any way that I can.
