Pastor's Weekly Musing

Hey everyone!

Here's what's coming up at Meadows:

- Saturday, December 10: Men's Serving Saturday
Join the Meadows men as they partner with the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, building hygiene kits for downtrodden Las Vegas teens. NPHY will provide everything to build the kits, but you can contribute by bringing additional 1-gallon zip-lock bags, toothbrushes & travel-size toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, body wash, etc. Sounds awesome, right? Starts at 9 AM. Sign up HERE.

- Wednesday, December 14: Christmas Parties!
Each gathering -- Connect, MYG, and Kids -- will have their own special Christmas party. All are invited! Starts at 7 PM.

*** Bringing an elementary-aged child to the Kids Party? Sign up HERE.

- Sunday, December 18: Meadows Bucks Day!
All Meadows Kids are invited to cash in their Meadows Bucks at both the 9 & 11 AM services. The store will be open for business!

- Sunday, December 18: Team Meadows Appreciation
Calling all volunteers, we are celebrating you! We will have a cookie and hot chocolate bar to enjoy and Christmas gifts for you. Begins at 1PM. Please RSVP HERE.

- Wednesday, December, 21: No Wednesday Meetings

- Saturday, December 24: Christmas Eve services, 3 & 4 PM
A Meadows favorite. A short and sweet service for the whole family, with carols, special performances, and a candle-lit prayer.

- Sunday, December 25: No Sunday services
In order to give our tireless volunteers (and ALL our members, really) the holiday off with their families, we'll have a closed campus on Christmas Day this year. Join us on Christmas Eve for your weekend service!

- Wednesday, December 28: No Wednesday Meetings

- Sunday, January 1: One service @ 11 AM, family style (no kids church)

This Sunday, we'll continue our annual December series, ADVENT.

We're looking closely at sacred prophetic texts written by Isaiah seven centuries before Christ. Several of his writings foretell of a coming Savior, a child born to us that will change everything.

Last week, we looked at Isaiah 9, and how Christ is the coming HOPE. This week, we'll look at Isaiah 11:1-10, which tells us not only what kind of Savior we serve, but also what kind of future He's prepared for us.

Join us this Sunday for Part 2 - Peace.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the walkway!
