Pastor's Weekly Musing

Hey everyone!

If you've been around the past few Sundays, you may have noticed Pastor Nate has been missing. In short, Pastor Nate has been in the hospital receiving care and undergoing several procedures to address blood clots that have formed in his arm and neck area. He and Pastor Adrianne have been navigating the medical process to get the best care and advice from doctors and specialists. They are hopeful that he will be released to go home soon and continue the road to recovery.

Thank you for joining us in prayer for the Offermanns. Let's pray for continued healing and a rapid recovery. May God's healing hand cover Nate's physical body, and may His grace carry them through this season.

"Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security." Jeremiah 33:6

Let it be so, Lord!

Portia and I are heading to our annual summer vacation next week! After we preach this Sunday, we'll rest up for a few weeks, and even head to our favorite family spot, Manhattan Beach, for a few days.

We got a great lineup of speakers during our absence, and I know you'll be blessed. I love this church!

This Sunday we'll continue our series, APPRENTICE.

We've been looking closely at how we grow into Christlikeness, and last Sunday we took a close look at teaching. Good Biblical teaching gets into our imagination and helps us envision the "good life" by countering the narratives we hear from the world.

But teaching can't be done by itself. A consistent willingness to practice over and over must be a part of our walk, as all progress takes time and intentionality. Its a key part of how we are formed!

Join us for Part 9 - How We Change: PRACTICE.

***ALSO: Gary and Pat Richards will be sharing about their journey to India!***

Looking forward to seeing you all on the walkway!
